Jellystone Park in St. Louis/ Eureka Named Camp-Resort of the Year

Eureka , Missouri (May 2005) – The Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Eureka, has been recognized as "Camp-Resort of the Year" by the Jellystone Park franchise system. It is the highest honor given to a Jellystone Park. The facility, as well as its operators, must exceed all Jellystone standards of operations, show a strong growth in business, implement sustained improvements to the facilities, rank in the Pinnacle Club (score of 95% or higher on inspection), and be viewed as a leader in the campground industry. The award was presented at the annual meeting of the Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort group in Cincinnati, Ohio .

The park received a score of 98.23 out of a possible 100 on their inspection, which is performed annually by staff of Leisure Systems, Inc, the Cincinnati-based franchisor of Jellystone Parks. The inspection is based on numerous items such as proper Yogi Bear theming, clean restrooms, well-manicured and landscaped property, variety of recreational activities, well-maintained accommodations, and the overall appearance of the Camp-Resort.

Owners Scott and Kathy Jones state, "The most thrilling aspect of winning an award like this is taking it back to the resort and presenting it to our staff.  This is truly their award.  We've always know that we have the most dedicated, hard working and talented team members in the industry and now we have the proof!"

This park also received recognition from the camping industry with a 10/10/10 rating by Woodall's Campground Directory.  It is the highest rating given by the popular national directory with only 210 out of 13,000 campgrounds receiving the award in 2004. 

For the 2005 season, which began March 1, Eureka has new two bedroom cottages with a kitchen and bath, free wireless internet and spacious pull-thru sites for large RVs.  These sites also feature full hook ups (water, electric and sewer) and 50 amp service.  Families get free Six Flags tickets with a minimum stay and active military members camp for FREE until May 26.  Interested persons should contact the park for details.  #636-938-5925
