Roger Barry of Fremont Jellystone Park Recognized with Chairman’s Award

FREMONT, IN (March 10, 2010) – Roger Barry, owner and operator of the Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Fremont for more than three decades, was presented with the Chairman’s Award at the annual meeting of the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort group.

The Chairman’s Award is presented every five years to a franchisee who has been the greatest influence on others in the Jellystone Park Franchise System. This individual – through his effort, deeds and example – has demonstrated what it means to be a true leader among his peers. Roger Barry has owned the Jellystone Park in Fremont for 30 years and has developed the park into a premier vacation destination and one of the top parks in the Jellystone Park system. More than that, he offers his knowledge and experience to other franchisees in all areas of the camping business.

“It’s hard to believe we started our park 45 years ago with a small wooded camping area and beach. It was really quite rough in the beginning. Each year we continued to grow and expand,” said Roger Barry. “Thank you, Leisure Systems and Chairman Rob Schutter, for this recognition and honor! My wife and family deserve equal credit for our accomplishments.”
