Jellystone Park in Nashville Wins Award for Excellence in Camping Industry

Nashville, TN (May 5, 2008) – Beth Wilson, chief operations officer of the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Nashville, has been recognized with the Carroll Award by the Jellystone Park franchise system. The award was presented at the annual meeting of the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park group in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Carroll Award is given to the Camp-Resort with the highest inspection rating among the 73 Jellystone Parks in the United States and Canada. The score is based on numerous items such as proper Yogi Bear themes, clean restrooms, well-manicured and landscaped property, a variety of recreational activities, well-maintained campsites and cabins, and the overall appearance of the Camp-Resort.

“We take a lot of pride in keeping our facilities in impeccable condition,” said Wilson. “I’m so proud of our staff for their commitment to quality and for helping to earn our park this recognition.”

The Nashville Camp-Resort also ranks high with visitors when it comes to guest relations. Its complete concierge service rivals that of pricey hotels. Car service, Opry tickets – no problem. Guests also are treated to themed weekends with live entertainment most weekends Memorial Day through Labor Day. Fairy Tale Weekend, Bear Olympics and CMA fest are just a few of the events on the calendar for this campground that is open year-round.

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Nashville hosts locals as well as those traveling to the home of country music. Wilson noted that the rising costs of fuel and other travel-related expenses have enticed many locals to “get away” – without going too far – to the Nashville Jellystone Park. “We aim to please out-of-town guests with our daily tours and close proximity to all things country music, and we like to provide our neighbors with a nice, relaxing trip away from home.”
