Jellystone
Park in Frankenmuth Wins Award for Excellence in Camping Industry
Frankenmuth,
MI (March, 2007) - Erv and Marilyn Banes, owners, and Cindy
Keinath, operator of the Frankenmuth Jellystone Park Camp-Resort,
have been recognized with the "Jim Webb Spirit Award" by
the Jellystone Park franchise system. The award was presented at the
annual meeting of the Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort group
in Cincinnati, Ohio .
The
Jim Webb Spirit Award, named after an individual who has played
a major role in the success of Jellystone Parks, is presented to
the franchisee who has embodied the same spirit, enthusiasm and
commitment to the system as Mr. Webb displayed throughout his entire
career.
"Businesses
are so often measured by their financial success that people lose
sight of the spirit that helped achieve and maintain that success,"
said Cindy Keinath. "This award is about heart and how special
it feels to operate a Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park and to be a part
of the Jellystone system. Jim Webb represents the spirit of our system
and we are grateful to be honored with his award." This
year, the Banes family will celebrate their tradition of excellence
with a 30 th Anniversary Weekend June 29 - July 1, during which all
campers will enjoy free pancake breakfasts. The celebration will continue
throughout July, with several free-lunch days offered to campers.
The park's award-winning recreation program includes several
new special event weekends for 2007, such as Awesome ‘80s Day, Boo
Boo's Summer Carnival, What's Cooking, Big Splash Pool Party and Scarecrow
Fest. New to the activity lineup this year are Sandy Candy Craft Time
and Extreme Basketball.
The
Camp-Resort, located in the old-world Bavarian Village of Frankenmuth
features 260 campsites and provides the perfect family getaway with
amenities such as an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, mini golf,
game room, snack bar, loaded activity schedule and more - all within
walking distance to the Frankenmuth attractions.
The park
is open year-round, with recreational programming running from Easter
weekend through October.
