Jellystone Park in Marion Wins Award for Excellence in Camping Industry

MARION, N.C. (February 18, 2009) – The Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Marion, N.C. has been recognized with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Jellystone Park franchise system. The award is given to the Park that shows the strongest growth in business over the prior year. It was presented at the annual meeting of the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort group in Cincinnati. 

Situated on 63 acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Camp-Resort is the perfect place for a family vacation or seasonal campsite. Alex and Lisa Garcia purchased the property in 2007 and have since made significant updates to the grounds including adding deluxe cabins and teepees, creating a major recreation destination in the Asheville area.

The Marion Jellystone Park Camp-Resort opens for the season March 21, 2009.
