Jellystone
Park in Caledonia Wins Award for Excellence in Camping Industry
Caledonia
, WI (March, 2007) - The Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort
in Caledonia has been recognized with the "Entrepreneur of
the Year Award" by the Jellystone Park franchise system. The
award is given to the Camp-Resort that showed the strongest growth
in business over the prior year, and was presented at the annual
meeting of the Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort group in
Cincinnati, Ohio .
Located
outside Milwaukee, the Caledonia Camp-Resort has experienced large
revenue growth since being purchased in 2005 by Randy and Theresa
Isaacson and Ed Van Der Molen. They have made significant improvements,
including installation of a new swimming pool, splashground and
full-service cabins.
"While
our recent business growth can certainly be attributed to our major
facility improvements, I believe our special guest appearances also
have had something to do with that success," said general manager
Bridget Isaacson. "Last year, we welcomed singers Ashley Parker
Angel and Teddy Geiger, as well as former Green Bay Packers players
LeRoy Butler and Gilbert Brown. We raised more than $7,000 for the
LeRoy Butler Breast Cancer Foundation and are looking forward to
having him back this year so we can continue to support this worthwhile
cause."
Park
guests enjoy state-of-the-art amenities, including an 18-hole mini-golf
course, air jumping pillow, full-length basketball court, old-time
photo studio, game room, theater, playground, fishing pond and sand
volleyball courts. The newly added water zone area offers an activity
pool with water basketball and volleyball, an interactive water
playground and water balloon wars game. A sample of special events
includes Game Show Weekend, Hawaiian Luau Weekend, Death By Chocolate
Weekend and Hillbilly Weekend.
The
Caledonia Jellystone Park Camp-Resort's 2007 season runs through
October 8.
